If you would rather talk it through first, send the drawing on WhatsApp and we will confirm the size, colour mode and price before anything is printed.

Multi-sheet sets are welcome. A tender submission with a mixed set of A1 architectural sheets and A3 detail sheets can be ordered together — just tell us how each part should be printed in the order notes. If your file needs checking before production, ask for a quote first and we will review the sheet size and print area with you.

Professional CAD Printing with Epson SureColor Technology

CAD drawings, architectural plans, engineering drawings and construction plans at Print Zone are produced on our Epson SureColor technical printer. It is purpose-built for drawing output rather than general office printing, which is what keeps hairline dimension lines, hatching and small annotation text legible at full sheet size.

Paired with 80 GSM drawing paper, this setup produces the clean, readable sheets that architects, engineers, contractors, consultants and construction teams expect to work from on site and in coordination meetings. We keep the specification deliberately simple and consistent: one professional technical printing system, one standard drawing paper, black & white or full colour.

CAD Drawing Printing Sizes

The four ISO A sizes below cover almost every drawing issued in the UAE. Each one has a dedicated page with size-specific guidance.

A0 — 841 × 1189 mm (84.1 × 118.9 cm): The full-size sheet for large architectural plans, engineering plans, site drawings and detailed construction drawings that need to be read at scale across a table.

A1 — 594 × 841 mm (59.4 × 84.1 cm): The everyday working size for architectural plans, construction drawings, MEP layouts and technical presentations. Half an A0 sheet, and far easier to roll and carry to site.

A2 — 420 × 594 mm (42 × 59.4 cm): A practical middle format for engineering drawings, layouts, construction details and smaller architectural plans where A1 is more sheet than the drawing needs.

A3 — 297 × 420 mm (29.7 × 42 cm): Used for technical documents, engineering drawings, diagrams and reduced construction plans that need to sit inside a report, folder or submission set.

Preparing Your Files for CAD Printing

A print-ready PDF is the format we recommend. Export it from AutoCAD (or your CAD application) at the sheet size you want printed, and check the points below before uploading. We print your file as supplied — we do not redraw, rescale or edit technical drawings, so anything wrong in the file will be wrong on the sheet.

Page size: export at the exact sheet size you want (A0, A1, A2 or A3) — not 'fit to page'

Orientation: set landscape or portrait in the PDF itself so the sheet is not rotated at print

Scale: plot at 1:1 against your chosen paper size so printed scale bars stay accurate

Line weights: assign plot styles/pen weights before export — hairlines can disappear if left too thin

Resolution: keep embedded images and site photographs at print resolution, not screen resolution

Fonts: embed all fonts or convert text to geometry so annotation does not substitute

Layers: freeze or turn off construction, viewport and non-plot layers before exporting

Margins: leave a small non-printing margin so nothing is trimmed at the sheet edge

Drawing border: include your title block and revision box so the printed sheet is traceable

Print area: use a defined plot window rather than 'display' to avoid stray extents

Colour mode: send colour drawings as colour and mono drawings as mono, and tell us which you want

Black & White vs Color CAD Printing

Both run on the same printer and the same 80 GSM drawing paper — the choice is about how the drawing is read.

Choose black & white for: Technical drawings, issued-for-construction sets, structural plans and simple engineering drawings. Mono is the practical option for working copies that get marked up on site and reprinted often, and it keeps larger sets economical.

Choose full colour for: MEP coordination sets, electrical layouts, architectural presentation plans, interior plans, landscape drawings and any colour-coded engineering drawing where services, zones or revisions are distinguished by colour rather than line type.
